Ladoga - Rites will be held here Sunday for James K. Davis, age 71, who died at the home of his son, Rolley Davis, Roachdale. The widow, three sons, one daughter, two sisters, four stepchildren and eight grandchildren survive.

Funeral services will be held at Ladoga Sunday afternoon Dec. 17 James K. Davis, 71, d. at the home of his son, Rolley Davis, in Roachdale at 7 o'clock Thurs morning, following a three weeks' illness with heart trouble. Mr. Davis was born near Ladoga, March 9, 1865 the son of Hiram and Mary Crutchfield Davis. He married Louisa WILCOX Feb 1887. Following her death in 1927, he married Lillian Lytle, who survives. The deceased was a member of the Methodist Church here. Surviving, in addition to the son at whose home he expired and the widow are two sons, Richard and Rutherford, both of Ladoga; one daughter, Mrs. Sylvia Runyon of Roachdale; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Mount and Mrs. William Tender, both of Ladoga; four stepchildren and 8 grandchildren. One son, Roscoe was killed in the World War in 1918. Funeral services will be held at the Gottschall funeral home here, where the body was brought Thurs at 2 o'clock sun. afternoon with Rev.
